Like many things, I’ve come to appreciate jewelry more as an adult.
As a teenager, wearing jewelry meant digging through my sock drawer for some crappy plastic bangles or novelty chandelier earrings to “dress up” my graphic tee, but I find myself at a point in life where I value and appreciate quality and the little things more — from the clothes and jewelry I wear to the coffee beans and produce I consume. After all, getting older is nothing if not a refining process.
While trendy value-packs of accessories have their place too, I’m much more inclined to invest in good-quality, well-made pieces that can stand the test of time. A few weeks ago I shared a post on Opelle’s gorgeous bags, and today, I’m continuing the style dialogue with another great Canadian brand, Anne-Marie Chagnon.
Designed, created, and crafted in Montreal, Anne-Marie Chagnon uses everything from chiseled pewter and sheer glass, to 22 carat gold, copper and bronze to create unique jewelry pieces.
Bordering between classic and statement-worthy, the pieces are truly the resulting creation of someone obsessed with details. Even the simplest aspects like the fasteners and hinges are crafted with care and in-line with the fresh, fashionable styles.
